THE WHOLE is right at the center of jubilation at the 83rd Venice International Film Festival in Italy.
It is because most of the stars of “Makikiraan Po (Let Us Through, Dear Ancestors),” which has just won a prestigious award from the annual film fiesta, are around to witness the historic event..
The Lav Diaz-directed opus won Best Film for this year’s Premio Brian (Brian Award).
Hazel Orencio, one of the stars of the movie, congratulated the whole production.
“Congrats, #LavTeam,” Orencio, who is currently in Italy, exclaimed on her Facebook wall.
Hazel’s fellow cast members Rafa Siguion-Reyna, Bong Cabrera, Bart Guingona and Yul Servo are all in the company of Lav to receive the award from the Venice Filmfest bosses.
