The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA), earlier this week, destroyed ₱5,321,563,665.95-worth of dangerous drugs at the Integrated Waste Management, Inc. (IWMI), Barangay Aguado, Trece Martires City, Cavite. The ceremony was witnessed by Secretary Oscar F. Valenzuela, chairman of the Dangerous Drugs Board (DDB), who also addressed the audience. He is joined by PDEA key officials, local officials of Barangay Aguado, Trece Martires City, representatives from the Philippine National Police (PNP), and other law enforcement agencies, Department of Justice (DOJ), and Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG), non-government organizations (NGOs) and media partners. A total of 2,227.7584 kilograms of solid illegal drugs, and 3,447.0920 milliliters of liquid illegal drugs were destroyed through thermal decomposition or thermolysis. Among destroyed were 738.2005 kilos of methamphetamine hydrochloride, or shabu; marijuana, 1,478.4915 kilos; MDMA ir Ecstacym 4.8668 kilos; cocaine, 39.2168 grams; toluene, 2.2116 grams; ketamine, 6.1516 grams; phenacetin, 5.5100 grams; lsd, 1.0400 gram; liquid cocaine, 2,000 ml.; liquide meth, 49.0420 ml.; liquid marijuana, 1,398.05 ml., and assorted surrendered expired medicines.
